Sights/Optics: There are no provisions for iron sights, the receiver is tapped to receive an optic or aperture sight, though neither are present.

Grip/Stock Configuration & Condition: The Ram-Line furniture is one piece synthetic with a straight comb, checkered semi-pistol grip, checkered forend, sling swivels at the front and rear, and a synthetic Ram-Line buttpad. The buttpad shows light handling wear. The furniture shows no notable blemishes other than some stubborn grime stuck in the low points of the stock texturing. The LOP measures 13.75" from the front of the trigger to the back of the buttpad. There are no chips or cracks. The furniture rates in Fine condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is mostly bright and the rifling is sharp. There are occasional light erosion spots scattered throughout the bore. In this writer's opinion, the bore rates 8/10.

Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 95% of its original metal finish. The finish shows infrequent surface scratches, a couple spots of light surface oxidation, and marks where scope bases used to be mounted. The screw heads are unmarred and retain turnable slots. The markings are clear and complete. Overall, this rifle rates in Very Good condition.

Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this firearm. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.

Our Assessment: This Interarms-imported Zastava Mark X was manufactured in 1989 and represents one of the finest commercial Mauser-pattern sporting rifles of its era. Manufactured by Zastava Arms and imported by Interarms, the Mark X is built around a true Mauser-style controlled-round-feed action with a full-length claw extractor and fixed blade ejector. These rifles earned an excellent reputation for strength, reliability, and quality workmanship, making them popular foundations for both factory and custom sporting rifles.

Chambered in .308 Winchester with a 24 inch barrel, this rifle combines the proven Mauser action with one of the most versatile sporting cartridges ever developed. The .308 Winchester has long been respected for its excellent accuracy, manageable recoil, and effectiveness on a wide range of North American game. In this writer's opinion, the bore rates 8 out of 10, indicating solid internal condition with good rifling. The action functions correctly.

The furniture rates in Fine condition with light handling wear and attractive presentation. This rifle retains approximately 95% of its original metal finish, presenting a strong overall appearance.
