Sights / Optics: There is a serrated, ramped base screwed to the front of the barrel, the front sight is missing from the base. The front sight ramp is grooved for a sight hood which is not present. The rear sight is an adjustable U-notch sight on a base screwed to the barrel. The top of the receiver has a integral bases, serrated for glare reduction.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The stock is a one-piece checkered Turkish walnut Mannlicher style full-length stock, with a steel nosecap, semi-pistol grip, fluted arched comb with cheekpiece, black rubber CZ buttpad, and sling rings mounted front and rear. The LOP measures 14 1/8" from the front of the trigger to the back of the buttpad when not set, 14 1/4" when set. The stock shows light handling wear, with only a few light nicks and scratches, most notably on the right side of the stock, in between the trigger guard and bolt handle, and on the left side of the stock, in between the receiver and floorplate. The checkering is well defined. There are no chips or cracks. Overall, the stock rates in Fine-Excellent condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright with sharp rifling. There is no erosion in the bore, but there is some light fouling present. In this writer's opinion, the bore rates 9+/10.
Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 98% of its original metal finish. The balance of the finish shows light handling wear, with only a few minor imperfections in the metal surfaces, which includes one minor freckle of surface corrosion on the floorplate, some very minor corrosion on the magazine plate, and minor operational marks on the bolt. The bluing on the barrel, receiver, and bottom metal is otherwise deep, dark, and intact. The markings are clear and legible. The screw heads range from sharp to lightly tooled, but all retain strong and serviceable slots. Overall, this rifle rates in Fine-Excellent condition as missing the front sight.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this rifle. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.

Our Assessment: CZ’s Model 550 series is well regarded for combining Mauser-style controlled-round-feed operation with traditional European sporting rifle styling and strong field reliability. The FS, or Full Stock, variant gives the rifle a classic Mannlicher-style profile with a full-length walnut stock extending to the muzzle. This 2007 CZ 550 FS is chambered in 6.5x55 Swedish, a historic Scandinavian cartridge introduced in the 1890s and still highly respected for its mild recoil, excellent sectional density, and strong accuracy for hunting and target shooting. This example features a 20 1/2" barrel, receiver with integral optic bases, and a factory single-set trigger. The classic full-stock configuration, and desirable 6.5x55 chambering should appeal to hunters and collectors looking for a refined European-style sporting rifle with traditional character. This rifle rates in Fine-Excellent overall condition, retaining about 98% of its original blued finish, a great bore and strong mechanics. The front sight blade and hood are absent, though the front sight base remains installed, and the adjustable rear sight is intact.
