Sights / Optics: The front sight is a blade screwed to the barrel. The top of the receiver has an integrated picatinny rail. The rear of the receiver is mounted with a ghost ring sight.

Stock Configuration & Condition: The stock is one piece checkered wood with a pistol grip, straight comb, plastic buttplate, and two sling studs front and rear. The LOP measures 14" from the front of the trigger to the rear of the buttplate. The stock shows little handling wear. The checkering is sharp. There are no chips or cracks. The stock rates in Excellent condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion in the bore. In this writer’s opinion the bore rates 10/10.

Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 99% of its finish. The balance of the finish shows little to no operational or handling wear. The finish is stong and complete throughout. The screw heads are sharp and pins are unmarred. The markings are clear. Overall, this rifle rates in about Excellent - Like New in Box condition.

Mechanics: The action functions correctly. Fully ambidextrous magazine release. We did not fire this rifle. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.

Our Assessment: Winchester's Wildcat represents a modern interpretation of the traditional American .22 rimfire autoloader, combining blowback operation and rotary-magazine feeding with a removable lower receiver assembly and integral Picatinny optics rail. The Sporter version gives the platform a more traditional character with a satin-finished checkered wood stock while retaining the Wildcat's modern controls and fully adjustable ghost-ring rear sight.

This 2023 example remains in Excellent condition, retaining about 99% of its original finish with little evidence of handling or use. The wood stock remains crisp and attractive, the bore is bright with sharp rifling and rates 10/10, and the action functions correctly. It is accompanied by its Winchester 10-round rotary magazine, factory box, owner's manual, paperwork, and gun lock, making it a particularly complete example. With classic wood-stocked styling wrapped around Winchester's lightweight, easily maintained modern rimfire action, this Wildcat is equally well suited to recreational shooting, small-game use, or the collection of a Winchester rimfire enthusiast.
