Sights/Optics: The front sights are a brass bead atop the barrels. The top of the receiver is serrated to reduce glare.
Grip/Stock Configuration & Condition: The furniture consists of a straight comb, checkered semi pistol grip, checkered forend, and a checkered synthetic Winchester buttplate. The buttplate has moderate handling wear. The wood only shows some light pressure dings. The LOP measures 14" from the face of the trigger to the rear of the butt. There are no chips or cracks. The furniture rates in Fine Plus condition.

Our Assessment: This Winchester Model 59 Win-Lite was manufactured between 1960 and 1965 and qualifies as a Curio and Relic shotgun. Produced by Winchester, the Model 59 was an innovative lightweight semi-automatic shotgun that featured Winchester's unique Win-Lite barrel construction. The barrels utilized a thin steel liner wrapped in fiberglass to reduce weight while maintaining strength, making the Model 59 one of the lightest autoloading shotguns of its era. Although production was relatively brief, the Model 59 remains a fascinating example of Winchester's engineering innovation.
Chambered for 12 Gauge, this shotgun is accompanied by two barrels: a 28 inch Modified barrel and a 30 inch Full choke barrel, providing versatility for upland birds, waterfowl, and clay target shooting. In this writer's opinion, the 30 inch Full choke barrel rates 9 out of 10, with a mostly bright bore showing light streaking and superficial corrosion staining. The 28 inch Modified barrel rates 9.5 out of 10, with a bright bore, light streaking, and no erosion. The action functions correctly.
