Grip/Stock Configuration & Condition: The furniture is two piece wood with a straight comb, semi-pistol grip, 11-rib forend, and a Western Field synthetic buttpad. The buttpad shows moderate handling wear. The furniture shows minor pressure dings, drag lines, and surface scratches. The LOP measures 13.5" from the front of the trigger to the back of the buttpad. There are no chips or cracks. The furniture rates in Very Good Plus condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is mostly bright with light streaking. There is a very light oxidation spot towards the muzzle end of the bore. In this writer's opinion, the bore rates 9/10.
Overall Condition: This shotgun retains about 85% of its original metal finish. The finish shows edge wear, light scratches, occasional freckling, and some thinning on the receiver. The screw heads show little to no tooling and retain turnable slots. The markings are clear and complete. Overall, this shotgun rates in Very Good condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this firearm. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.

Our Assessment: This Winchester Model 12 was manufactured in 1949 and qualifies as a Curio and Relic shotgun. Produced by Winchester, the Model 12 is one of the most celebrated pump-action shotguns ever made. Often referred to as "The Perfect Repeater," it earned its reputation through exceptional machining, smooth operation, and rugged reliability. By the late 1940s, the Model 12 had become a favorite among hunters, competitive shooters, and sportsmen across the country.
Chambered for 16 Gauge 2.75 inch shells with a 28 inch barrel and Full choke, this shotgun is ideally configured for upland birds, pheasants, and other longer-range hunting applications. In this writer's opinion, the bore rates 9 out of 10, indicating strong internal condition with a clean bore. The action functions correctly.
The furniture rates in Very Good Plus condition with light handling wear and attractive presentation. This shotgun retains approximately 85% of its original metal finish, showing honest wear consistent with decades of careful use.
