Sights/Optics: There are no provisions for iron sights. A Leupold VX-III 2.5-8x36mm scope is mounted to the receiver via Leupold rings. The duplex reticle is clear and the scope rates in Very Good condition.
Grip/Stock Configuration & Condition: The furniture is one piece checkered AA walnut with a rosewood capped semi-pistol grip, cheekpiece, raised comb, rosewood tipped forend, and a synthetic basket weave Pachmayr Decelerator buttpad. The buttpad has no notable wear. The wood has no notable wear other than a few very faint handling marks. There is a sling swivel stud on the forend and another on the belly of the stock. LOP measures 13.25" from the front of the trigger to the back of the buttpad. There are no chips or cracks. The furniture rates in Excellent condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp with faint fouling. There is no erosion in the bore. In this writer's opinion, the bore rates 9.5/10.
Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 99% of its original metal finish. The only visible mark is a very small blemish on the floorplate. The screw heads are unmarred and retain turnable slots. The markings are clear and complete. Overall, this rifle rates in Excellent condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this firearm. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.

Our Assessment: The Weatherby Mark V Deluxe represents the traditional expression of Weatherby’s flagship bolt-action rifle, combining the Mark V action with high-grade walnut and polished blued steel. Weatherby describes the current Deluxe as a tribute to the classic Mark V rifles, with AA-grade walnut, diamond-point checkering, a rosewood forend tip and grip cap with maple spacers, and a Pachmayr Decelerator recoil pad. In 6.5 Creedmoor, the Mark V Deluxe uses Weatherby’s six-lug action and is factory configured with a 22" barrel and 4+1 capacity. This example, serial number WY006314, is fitted with a Leupold VX-III 2.5-8x36mm scope in Leupold rings, making for a handsome and practical sporting rifle while retaining the classic appearance for which the Deluxe line is known.
