Sights / Optics: There are no provisions for iron sights. The top of the receiver has two pairs of drilled, tapped holes.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The stock is one-piece checkered walnut with a capped pistol grip, fluted monte carlo comb with cheekpiece, black rubber Weatherby buttpad, ebony tipped forend, and sling studs front and rear. The LOP measures 13 3/8" from the front of the trigger to the back of the buttpad. There is little to no handling wear. There are no chips or cracks. The checking is sharp with faint peak wear. Overall, the stock rates in Excellent condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright with sharp rifling. There is no erosion in the bore. There is some stubborn fouling on the lands. In this writer's opinion, the bore rates 9/10.
Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 98% of its original metal finish. The balance of the finish shows very little operational and handling wear. The balance of the finish is strong and complete. There is minor rub wear at the rear of the action. The markings are clear and legible. The screw heads are sharp to lightly tool marked. Overall, this rifle rates in Excellent condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly, as does the safety. We did not fire this rifle. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.

Our Assessment: The Weatherby Mark V was Roy Weatherby's purpose-built magnum action, developed around the high-performance cartridges that made the Weatherby name synonymous with velocity and long-range hunting. Japanese Mark V production was handled by Howa during the 1970s through the mid-1990s, and the Euromark joined the line in 1986 as a more restrained alternative to the high-gloss Deluxe, combining satin-blued metal with an oil-finished, hand-checkered Claro walnut stock and ebony trim. Chambered in Weatherby's flagship .300 Weatherby Magnum, the Euromark retained the strength and distinctive styling of the Mark V while presenting it in a handsome European-influenced sporting configuration.
This rifle, serial H194426, remains an especially clean example, retaining about 98% of its original blue with only minor operational and handling wear. The walnut stock rates in Excellent condition with sharp checkering, the bore is bright with sharp rifling and rates 9/10, and the action and safety function correctly. The factory box and test target sheet add meaningful completeness to an already attractive Japanese-production Weatherby. For the collector who appreciates the classic Roy Weatherby era as much as the hunter looking for a beautifully stocked .300 Magnum, this Euromark represents one of the more elegant variations of the famed Mark V.
