Sights/Optics: The front sight is a black serrated ramped blade fixed to the barrel. The Micro Sight Co. rear sight is a black square-notch in a base pinned to the flat top-strap and is adjustable for elevation and windage.
Grip/Stock Configuration & Condition: The grips are two piece smooth wood panels with Ruger medallions inset into either side. The panels shows some light pressure dings and surface scratches. There are no chips or cracks. Overall, the grips rate in about Fine condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp with faint fouling. There is no erosion in the bore. In this writer's opinion, the bore rates 9.5/10.
Overall Condition: This firearm retains about 80% of its original metal finish. The finish shows a defined turn line, holster wear on the cylinder and at the muzzle, as well as a few minor surface scratches. The markings are clear and complete. Overall, this firearm rates in Very Good condition.
Mechanics: Each cylinder has just minor play at each stop. A transfer bar has NOT been installed. The action functions correctly. We did not fire this firearm. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.

Our Assessment: This Ruger Blackhawk was manufactured in 1960 and qualifies as a Curio and Relic firearm. Produced by Sturm, Ruger & Co., the original Flat-Top Blackhawk is among Ruger's most collectible revolver designs. Built before the addition of the barrel safety warning roll mark, these "pre-warning" revolvers feature the classic three-screw action and flat-top frame that defined the early Blackhawk series. Chambered in .357 Magnum, these revolvers helped establish Ruger's reputation for building exceptionally strong and dependable single-action handguns.
Featuring a 4.625 inch barrel, this revolver offers a compact, well-balanced configuration well suited for field carry and recreational shooting.
