Sights/Optics: The front sight is a hooded beaded blade dovetailed into a serrated base screwed to the barrel. The rear sight is an adjustable u-notch screwed into the barrel. There is a Leupold base screwed into the top of the receiver. No optic is included.

Grip/Stock Configuration & Condition: The mannlicher stock is one piece laminate wood with a cheekpiece, checkered semi-pistol grip, checkered forend, and a textured Remington buttpad. The buttpad shows no wear. The furniture shows only a few very minor pressure dings. The LOP measures 13.5" from the front of the trigger to the back of the buttpad. There are no chips or cracks. The furniture rates in Fine Plus to Excellent condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion in the bore. In this writer's opinion, the bore rates 9.5/10.

Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 98% of its original metal finish. The finish shows only faint edge wear and minor operational wear on the bolt. The screw heads range from unmarred to lightly tooled and retain turnable slots. The markings are clear and complete. Overall, this rifle rates in Fine Plus to Excellent condition.

Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this firearm. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.

Our Assessment: This Remington Custom Shop Model Seven Custom MS was manufactured in 1993 and represents one of the finest expressions of Remington's compact sporting rifle.
