Sights/Optics: The front sight is a metal bead at the muzzle. The receiver is serrated to reduce glare.
Grip/Stock Configuration & Condition: The two piece wood furniture consists of a fluted straight comb, smooth semi pistol grip, 11 rib/groove forend, and a checkered synthetic Winchester buttplate. The buttplate has light handling wear. The wood shows no notable blemishes other than some extremely minor pressure dings. The LOP measures 14" from the face of the trigger to the rear of the butt. There are no chips or cracks. The furniture rates in Excellent condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright with faint streaking. There is no erosion in the bore. In this writer's opinion, the bore rates 9.5/10.
Overall Condition: This firearm retains about 97% of its original finish. The finish shows only light freckling on the left side of the receiver and very faint operational wear. The screw heads range from unmarred to lightly tooled and retain turnable slots. The markings are clear and complete. Overall, this firearm rates in Fine Plus condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this firearm. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.

Our Assessment: This Winchester Model 12 was manufactured in 1961 and qualifies as a Curio and Relic firearm. Introduced in 1912 by Winchester Repeating Arms, the Model 12 earned the nickname "The Perfect Repeater" through decades of dependable service and exceptional craftsmanship. Featuring an internal hammer, forged steel receiver, and one of the smoothest pump actions ever produced, the Model 12 became a favorite among hunters, competitive shooters, and law enforcement alike. As one of the last pre-1964 examples, this shotgun represents the high standard of Winchester's classic manufacturing era.
Chambered for 20 Gauge 2.75 inch shells with a fixed full choke 28 inch barrel, this shotgun is ideally suited for upland game, waterfowl, and clay target sports where a tight pattern is desirable. The lighter weight of the 20 Gauge combined with the Model 12's superb handling characteristics has made this configuration especially popular with generations of sportsmen. In this writer's opinion, the bore rates 9.5 out of 10, indicating excellent internal condition. The action functions correctly.
