Sights/Optics: The front sight is a blade with a serrated face dovetailed into the barrel. The rear sight is a Skinner aperture dovetailed into the barrel. The original rear sight is included.
Grip/Stock Configuration & Condition: The refinished furniture is two piece wood with a straight comb, semi-pistol grip, smooth forend, and a checkered metal buttplate. The buttplate has only light edge wear. The furniture shows only some faint drag lines and old blemishes under the current finish. There are no chips or cracks. The LOP measures 13.25" from the front of the trigger to the back of the buttplate. The furniture rates in Very Good Plus condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is mostly bright and the rifling is sharp with faint fouling. There is very faint erosion towards the muzzle end of the bore. In this writer's opinion, the bore rates 9/10.
Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 97% of its original metal finish. The finish shows faint edge wear and freckling, along with some very light scratches. The screw heads are faintly tooled retain turnable slots. The markings are clear and complete. Overall, this rifle rates in Very Good Plus condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this firearm. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.

Our Assessment: This postwar Winchester Model 63 was manufactured in 1949 and qualifies as a Curio and Relic rifle. Produced by Winchester during the strong post-World War II sporting rifle era, the Model 63 had firmly established itself as one of Winchester's most dependable semi-automatic rimfire designs. The 23 inch tube-fed configuration remained a favorite for small game and recreational shooting.
Chambered in .22 Long Rifle with a 23 inch barrel, this rifle retains approximately 97% of its original bluing and includes its original rear sight. In this writer's opinion, the bore rates 9 out of 10, with strong internal condition. The action functions correctly.
The furniture was refinished and presents well with a clean appearance. A non-serial matching box is included, adding display appeal to this 1949 example. Overall, this rifle rates in Very Good condition and stands as a well-preserved postwar Winchester Model 63 with strong original finish and included factory box.
