Sights/Optics: The front sight is a beaded blade dovetailed into the barrel. The rear sight is a u-notch adjustable for elevation dovetailed into the barrel. A Weaver B4 scope is screwed into the side of the receiver. The glass is clear and the scope rates in Very Good condition.

Grip/Stock Configuration & Condition: The refinished furniture is two piece wood with a straight comb, semi-pistol grip, smooth forend, and a checkered metal buttplate. The buttplate has only light edge wear. The furniture shows a few pressure dings, surface scratches, and a few old blemishes under the current finish. The LOP measures 13.25" from the front of the trigger to the back of the buttplate. There is a repaired chip at the toe of the stock. The furniture rates in Very Good Plus condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is mostly bright and the rifling is sharp. There is some light freckling towards the muzzle end of the bore. In this writer's opinion, the bore rates 8.5/10.

Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 98% of its original metal finish. The finish is strong showing only a few minor surface blemishes. The screw heads show little to no tooling and retain turnable slots. The markings are clear and complete. Overall, this rifle rates in Fine condition.

Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this firearm. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.

Our Assessment: This postwar Winchester Model 63 was manufactured in 1956 and qualifies as a Curio and Relic rifle. Produced by Winchester during the final years of Model 63 production, the rifle represents the fully matured evolution of Winchester's long-running semi-automatic rimfire design. By the mid-1950s, the Model 63 had established itself as a reliable and refined sporting rifle.

Chambered in .22 Long Rifle with a 23 inch barrel, this tube-fed semi-automatic rifle is fitted with a Weaver B4 scope, providing period-correct optic appeal and practical field use capability. In this writer's opinion, the bore rates 8.5 out of 10, indicating solid internal condition with good rifling. The action functions correctly.

This rifle retains approximately 98% of its original metal finish, presenting a strong and well-preserved example. The refinished furniture rates in Very Good Plus condition with attractive appearance and solid structure.
