Sights/Optics: The front sight is a beaded blade dovetailed into the barrel. The rear sight is a square-notch adjustable for elevation dovetailed into the barrel. The receiver is grooved for an optic, though none is present.

Grip/Stock Configuration & Condition: The furniture is two piece wood with a straight comb, semi-pistol grip, smooth forend, and a smooth metal buttplate. The buttplate has light edge wear. The furniture only shows a few light drag lines mainly on the left side of the forend. There are no chips or cracks. The LOP measures 13.25" from the front of the trigger to the back of the buttplate. The furniture rates in Fine condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp with some stubborn copper fouling at the muzzle. There is no erosion in the bore. In this writer's opinion, the bore rates 9.5/10.

Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 98% of its original metal finish. The finish shows a few very small surface scratches and some freckling on the left side of the receiver. The screw heads range from lightly tooled to unmarred retain turnable slots. The markings are clear and complete. Overall, this rifle rates in Fine condition.

Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this firearm. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.

Our Assessment: This Japanese Miroku Winchester Model 63 was manufactured between 1997 and 1998 and represents a modern reproduction of the classic Model 63 pattern. Produced by Miroku under license for Winchester, these rifles were built with high manufacturing standards and are known for excellent machining and finish quality. The Miroku-produced Model 63 recreations have earned a strong reputation among collectors and shooters alike.

Chambered in .22 Long Rifle with a 23 inch barrel, this tube-fed semi-automatic rifle preserves the traditional sporting configuration of the original mid-20th century design. In this writer's opinion, the bore rates 9.5 out of 10, indicating excellent internal condition. The action functions correctly.

This rifle retains approximately 98% of its original metal finish, presenting a very clean and well-maintained example. The furniture rates in Fine condition with light handling wear.
