Sights/Optics: The front and rear sights have been removed, the taps and dovetail slot have been filled. There is a Burris 2X-7X Fullfield II mounted atop the receiver. The ballistic plex reticle is clear and the scope rates in Very Good condition.
Grip/Stock Configuration & Condition: The furniture is two piece wood with a straight wrist grip, fluted straight comb, smooth forend, hammer extension, and checkered synthetic buttplate. The buttplate has light handling wear. The furniture shows some minor pressure dings and a couple very small scuffs. The LOP measures 13.25" from the face of the trigger to the butt. The furniture rates in Fine condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp with light fouling. There is no erosion in the bore. In this writer's opinion, the bore rates 9.5/10.
Overall Condition: This firearm retains about 90% of its original metal finish. The finish shows freckling, scrub marks, and heavy oxidation around the rear dovetail blank. The screw heads are unmarred and retain turnable slots. The markings are clear and complete. Overall, this firearm rates in Very Good Plus condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this firearm. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.

Produced by Marlin Firearms, the 39M was the compact Mountie variant of Marlin's legendary Model 39 series.
