Sights/Optics: The front sight is a hooded beaded blade atop a serrated base screwed into the barrel. The rear sight is an adjustable elevation u-notch dovetailed into the barrel. The top of the receiver is tapped to receive an optic, though none is present.
Grip/Stock Configuration & Condition: The furniture is two piece wood set with a checkered straight wrist grip, straight comb, checkered forend, and checkered synthetic buttplate. The buttplate has very light handling wear. The finish shows a few minor pressure dings. The LOP measures 13.25" from the front of the trigger to the rear of the butt. There are no chips or cracks. The furniture rates in Fine condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp with light fouling. There is no erosion in the bore. In this writer's opinion, the bore rates 9.5/10.
Overall Condition: This firearm retains about 98% of its original metal finish. There are only faint handling marks and some finish loss on top of the receiver where an optic used to be mounted. The screw heads range from lightly tooled to unmarred and retain turnable slots. The markings are clear and complete. Overall, this firearm rates in Fine condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this firearm. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.

Our Assessment: This Marlin Model 39 TDS was manufactured in 1994 and represents one of the more desirable variations of Marlin's legendary Model 39 rimfire series. Produced by Marlin Firearms, the 39 TDS (Take-Down System) combined the proven Model 39 action with a compact takedown configuration, making it particularly well suited for transport, backpacking, and field use. The Model 39 lineage traces its roots back to the 19th century and is widely regarded as one of the finest lever-action rimfire designs ever produced.
Chambered for .22 Short, Long, and Long Rifle with a 16.5 inch barrel, this rifle maintains the versatility and reliability that made the Model 39 famous. In this writer's opinion, the bore rates 9.5 out of 10, indicating excellent internal condition. The action functions correctly.
