Sights / Optics: The front sight is a blade fixed to the barrel. The rear sight is a square notch buckhorn adjustable for elevation in a base dovetailed to the rear of the barrel.

Stock Configuration & Condition/ Grip: The stock is a one-piece smooth wood full-stock with a band at the front which goes under the barrel, a mid-band which goes around the barrel, pipe-style straight grip, arched comb and smooth steel buttplate. There is a sling ring on the left of the mid-band and another mounted to the left flat above the trigger. The stock has some scattered light marks, but no notable damage. There are no chips or cracks. The LOP measures 12 1/8" from the front of the trigger to the back of the buttplate. The plate has scattered minor oxidation. Overall, the stock is in about Fine condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is mostly bright. There is no erosion, but there is some stubborn dried grease at the muzzle-end. In this writer's opinion, the bore rates 9+/10.

Overall Condition: This musket has some scattered minor surface oxidation which should polish out with a little more notable oxidation on the cock. There is some minor erosion at the pan. The markings are clear, but unevenly struck. The screw heads range from sharp to tool marked with strong slots. Overall, this musket is in Very Good condition.

Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We have not fired this musket. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.

Box Paperwork and Accessories: A steel-tipped wood ramrod is included.

Our Assessment: This is an interesting contemporary muzzleloader made in a European style. It is a flintlock trade gun, approximately .65 caliber with a neat barrel which transitions from octagonal to round with a wedding band right where the forend of the full-stock narrows down. It doesn't appear to have seen much use, though it has some oxidation from age and storage. This would be a fun flintlock to clean up and go blow smoke at the range.
