Sights/Optics: There are no provisions for iron sights. There is a LaRue Tactical picatinny section mounted atop the receiver. No optic is included.
Grip/Stock Configuration & Condition: The McMillan stock is one piece synthetic with an adjustable cheek riser, LOP spacers, QD cups, and an unmarked bipod. The buttpad has minimal handling wear with two spacers installed. The furniture shows a few minor scratches and handling marks. There is some oxidation on the tensioner for the cheek riser. A "VICE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES" medallion is set into the right side of the stock. The LOP measures about 14" from the front of the trigger to the back of the buttpad. There are no chips or cracks. The furniture rates in Very Good Plus condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp with light fouling. There is no erosion in the bore. In this writer's opinion, the bore rates 9.5/10.
Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 96% of its metal finish. There are scattered scratches along with both handling and operational wear. The screw heads are unmarred and retain turnable slots. The right side of the barrel is marked "PRESENTED TO: THE HONORABLE RICHARD B. CHENEY -46TH VICE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA". The markings are clear and complete. Overall, this rifle rates in Very Good Plus condition.

This example was customized by Ross Precision Gunworks of Texas. It is chambered in 6.5x47 Lapua, a cartridge introduced by Lapua in early 2006 specifically for precision competition and demanding sporting use. Of particular interest is the rifle's association with Richard B. Cheney, the 46th Vice President of the United States. The right side of the barrel is marked "PRESENTED TO: THE HONORABLE RICHARD B. CHENEY -46TH VICE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA", while the stock carries a "VICE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES" medallion.
