Sights/Optics: The front sight is a beaded post dovetailed into a base with a serrated face, screwed into the barrel. The rear sight has been removed and two empty taps remain. The receiver is tapped for your choice of optic, though none is present.

Grip/Stock Configuration & Condition: The refinished furniture is one piece wood with a raised comb, checkered semi-pistol grip, smooth forend, and a serrated synthetic Remington buttplate. The buttplate has light handling wear. The furniture shows little wear other than some imperfections in the checkering and borders from when it was taped over during the refinishing process. The LOP measures 13.75" from the front of the trigger to the back of the buttplate. There are no chips or cracks. The furniture rates in Very Good Plus condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is semi-bright and the rifling is lightly worn. There are scattered spots of light pitting in the bore. In this writer's opinion, the bore rates 5/10.

Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 98% of its original metal finish. The finish shows only faint edge wear and a couple minor flecks of oxidation. The screw heads show faint tooling and retain turnable slots. The markings are clear and complete. Overall, this rifle rates in Good condition.

Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this firearm. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.

Produced by Remington, the Model 660 was part of Remington's economy sporting rifle line and provided hunters and varmint shooters with a lightweight, practical bolt-action platform.
