Sights / Optics: The front sight is a blade fixed to the barrel. The rear sight is a notch in the hammer, visible when cocked.

Stock Configuration & Condition: The grip is one-piece smooth faux-ivory. The grip has a few minor marks, most at the bottom on the right (not showing when in display case). There are no chips or cracks. Overall, the grip is in Fine-Excellent condition.

Type of Finish: Blue & Gold

Finish Originality: Original

Bore Condition: The bore is bright with sharp rifling. There is no erosion in the bore. In this writer's opinion, the bore rates 10/10.

Overall Condition: This handgun retains about 99% of its metal finish. There is no notable wear or damage, only light handling marks. The screw heads are sharp. The markings are clear. Overall, this revolver is in Excellent condition.

Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this handgun. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.

Box, Paperwork & Accessories: This revolver comes in a wood presentation case with bullet mould, powder flask, cap tin with engraved buffalo lid, capper, balls, and a takedown tool. A reproduction Buffalo Bill's Wild West Show advertising cutout is included.

Our Assessment: Commissioned by the United States Historical Society, this Ubert 1860 Army was engraved and finished by Williamsburg Firearms to commemorate the Centennial of Buffalo Bill's Wild West Show in 1983. It is a beautiful piece with gold markings and images of Bill Cody and scenes from his Wild West show. Such markings are also featured on the cylinder. This example is in Excellent condition, appearing to have spent more time in its included display case than out. The case helps to display the revolver’s beautiful engraving and gold inlay. This would make a fantastic addition to any Colt collection, especially for fans of Wild West. Please see our photos and good luck!
