Markings: The left side of the slide is marked "GLOCK 17L AUSTRIA 9×19". The metal insert on the underside of the frame is marked "BKA008US". The right side of the slide is marked with "GLOCK" logo and "BKA008". The chamber is marked "9×19", "BKA008", followed by the "GLOCK" logo and a pentagon. The right side of the frame is marked "GLOCK, INC., SMYRNA, GA." and also has a patent number.

Sights / Optics: The front sight is a Trijicon serrated blade with a tritium lamp, fixed to the slide, overhanging a bit over the slide's cutout. The rear sight is a Heine square notch with a single tritium lamp under the notch, dovetailed to the slide. The lamps have dimmed completely, but are still usable as a stacked two-dot sight system in normal lighthing.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The grip is integral to the frame. The front and back straps have "grenade"-style checkers. The sides of the grip frame are textured. There is modest handling wear, compressions, and scratches. The grip rates in Very Good overall condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the polygonal rifling is strong. There is no erosion in the bore but there is some stubborn fouling. In this writer's opinion the bore rates 8.5/10.
Overall Condition: This handgun retains about 90% of its metal finish. There is operational wear on the barrel. There is thinning at some edges. There are scattered minor nicks, scuffs and small scratches. There is some white residue from the paint-fill on the markings. The pinheads are unmarred. The markings are clear. Overall, this handgun rates in Very Good condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this handgun. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be required to meet your maintenance standards.
Box, Paperwork & Accessories: This pistol includes a serial-matching "tupperware" Glock case, one tan Glock 17rd magazine, a ReCover charging handle, trigger guard-mounted a Picatinny rai, and an unbranded Chinese weapon light (needs batteries).
Our Assessment: The Glock model 17 is likely the most popular handgun of the modern era having taken the handgun world by storm in the early '80s. The Glock 17 is simple, reliable, durable, in their word: "Perfection". This is the 17L, a variant of the world famous 17 incorporating all that made the 17 what it is today but with a 6" barrel, a much better trigger, extended slide release, and over 8" of sight radius. The 9mm cartridge is inexpensive and easy to find with a myriad of different loads and projectiles for both carry and practice. Magazines for this pistol should be fairly easy to come by. If you are looking for a highly capable home defense or competition pistol, the Glock 17L should be something you consider. That said, this example is in Very Good condition, with its original "tupperware" case, and is a discontinued model, perfect for a Glock collection. Please see our photos and good luck!
