This lot features a German World War II Fire Police steel M34 helmet. Helmets of this pattern were issued to members of the German Feuerschutzpolizei, the uniformed fire protection branch that operated under the Ordnungspolizei during the Third Reich. Fire Police units were responsible for firefighting, civil defense, and emergency response during air raids and other wartime disasters within German cities.

The helmet retains its distinctive Fire Police configuration and displays double decals. The original decals remain visible, untouched by the later repaint, indicating the helmet was refinished at some point during or after its service life. The shell has been painted in a black finish that partially covers the original insignia while still allowing the decal outlines and imagery to be observed.

The helmet does not retain its liner. The steel shell shows scattered dents, scuffs, and scratches consistent with age and service use. The interior finish shows areas of wear and paint peeling from age.
