This lot features a German Feuerschutzpolizei Model 1934 steel helmet used by the Fire Protection Police during the Third Reich period of World War II. The M34 helmet was specifically designed for civil defense and firefighting services rather than front line combat troops, and it differs in profile from the more familiar combat helmets issued to Wehrmacht soldiers. These helmets were issued to the Feuerschutzpolizei, a nationalized fire service incorporated into the Ordnungspolizei structure during the Nazi era.

The helmet retains its black finish typical of Feuerschutzpolizei issue helmets and displays its original double decal configuration. One side bears the Polizei style eagle clutching a swastika above a shield, while the opposite side displays the German tri-colored shield. The shell features the characteristic M34 shape with flared skirt and ventilation holes arranged in clusters around the sides. The interior shows age consistent handling wear and is missing the original liner assembly.

Overall condition shows scattered spots of oxidation, finish wear, scuffs, and scratches consistent with service use and age. The decals show expected wear with partial loss but remain identifiable.
