Western movies of the 1950s and 1960s usually centered around a few timeless themes: showing courage in the face of adversity, defending your land, and protecting your woman.

This Vintage 1963 MGM United Kingdom Release "GUNS OF WYOMING" Western Film 87"x49" Movie Theater Framed Poster remains well matted in an 87” x 49” black finished metal frame, sports a brown paper backing and a metal hanging wire across the upper reverse, and boasts a striking illustration at front of a cattle baron pistol whipping (what Wyatt Earp referred to as “buffaloing”) an assailant at the upper front, “THIS IS THE CODE OF THE CATTLE KING! FIGHT FOR YOUR LAND LIKE A GIANT!..FIGHT FOR YOUR WOMAN LIKE A MAN!..” printed in large black lettering at the upper left front, the title of the picture, “GUNS OF WYOMING”, printed in red at the lower right front, and all of the production and starring information printed in black at the lower front, including “Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer presents / ROBERT TAYLOR”. This poster is the rare United Kingdom release version, as this movie was only billed as “Guns of Wyoming” in the UK. In the US, it was marketed as “Cattle King”. It carries the printing information “COPYRIGHT 1963 - METRO-GOLDWYN-MAYER”, “GUNS OF WYOMING”, and “63/180” (meaning the poster is number 63 out of only 180 ever made) printed in small black font along the bottom front edge. Good Condition, with several vertical and horizontal fold lines throughout, some “bubbling” to the poster under the frame at the lower left front, a small tear in the “S” in “GUNS” at the lower right front, some blue ballpoint pen doodling in the “RO” in “ROBERT” at the lower left front, moderate scattered brownish and dark soiling throughout, some light “sinking in” to the top left edge of the front face of the frame, and with some overall wrinkling and age wear evident.
