Vintage Framed Montana Centennial Buffalo Poster. Set a vintage barn wood frame reported to be over 130 years old. The back of the poster has an inscription stating " The wood used for this frame came from a whiskey distillery in Gauge Tenn. The told me the wood siding is over 130 years old". A miniature version of the image is also affixed to the back with a caption that reads " This is the first meanest and second largest buffalo to come off the National Game range in Moise. On July 17, 1988 a woman from Spokane stepped out of her car on the game range to photograph this bull at 35 yards. The bull the charged her and gored her in the right side, then pitched her over his back. This was the first accident of this type with a buffalo since the range opened in 1908. It certainly gives new meaning to being buffaloed. This 8 year old bull and a 10 year old bull were sold to a private party and before the owner could take possession the 8 year old bull killed the 10 year old bull. That's how the right horn got damaged. This bull weighed in at 2180 pounds. He also scored 125 making him number 66 in the Boone and Crocket record book".

The frame is in excellent condition as well as the brown paper backing. There is no damage to the glass, matting or the poster itself. The frame measures 23" by 27" and appears to have been professionally done.
