UMC Co. Vintage Ammunition .44 Cal. Winchester, Circa 1890-1905 Collectible Ammunition
This a Pre-1911 box with UMC address and with the callout "Adapted to Winchester, Colt's, Marlin and other Rifles and Frontier Revolvers". The side label is marked "For Winchester Rifles". This .44-40 , 44 WCF ammo. There is a picture of the round and "UMC 44-40" headstamp.The ammo shows much oxidation and patina. This box pre-dates the 1911 purchase by Remington and is circa 1890's-1905. This box is in Fair to Good condition with light soiling and separations on the top right end.
