Sights / Optics: The front sight is a white dot dovetailed into the slide. The rear sight is a square-notch with two white dots dovetailed into the slide.

Grip/Stock Configuration & Condition: The textured grips are integral to the frame. There are little to no handling marks present. There are no chips or cracks. The grips rate in Excellent condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp with some stubborn copper fouling in the grooves. There is no erosion in the bore. In this writer's opinion, the bore rates 9.5 out of 10. 

Overall Condition: This firearm retains about 99% of its metal finish. There is faint wear on the barrel hood, but otherwise shows minimal blemishes. The markings are clear and complete. Overall, this firearm rates in about Excellent condition. 

Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this firearm. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.

Our Assessment: A clean, modern striker fired defensive pistol, this XD-9 presents in near new condition with approximately 99 percent of its original finish intact. The pistol retains the crisp, contemporary appearance expected of a recent production Springfield. The bore rates an excellent 9.5 out of 10, bright and sharp, and the action functions correctly with the smooth cycling characteristic of the XD series.
