The top of the bolt carrier group is marked "77901886-SA F00227". The scope mount is marked "SPRINGFIELD ARMORY Geneseo Illinois". The op rod is marked "7267064-2SA". The right side of the barrel under the op rod is marked "SPRINGFIELD INC Geneseo IL. .308". The upper handguard is painted "68". The stock is painted "320".

Barrel Length: 22", 25" with the classic flash hider.

Sights / Optics: The front sight is a National Match 0.62 blade set between two protective wings. The rear sight is a fully adjustable aperture sight set between two protective wings. This rifle has also been equipped with a Springfield scope mount.

Stock Configuration & Condition: The stock is an M14 pattern synthetic stock with a checkered semi-pistol grip and forend with a hinged metal butt plate with storage in the butt. The LOP measures 13.25" from the front of the trigger to the back of the butt plate. The stock shows scattered surface level lines and rough patches. The stock has been painted. The handguard shows chips and flaking finish along the edges. There is scattered crazing in the finish of the handguard. The stock shows no chips or cracks. Overall the stock and handguard are in Good+ condition.

Magazine Quantity & Condition: This rifle includes two 10rd and two 20rd 7.62x51mm / 308 Win box magazines, four magazines total, in Good+ to Very Good overall condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is mirror bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no visible erosion in the bore. The bore is very clean. There is no verdigris on the flash hider. The feed ramps are smooth and shiny. In this writer’s opinion the bore rates 10/10.

Overall Condition: This rifle retains 98% of its metal finish. This rifle shows minor handling wear with some surface level lines in the finish and minor rub wear on the friction surfaces of the bolt. The markings are clear and the screw heads are sharp. Overall this rifle is in Very Good condition and would rate higher if not for the condition of the stock.

Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this rifle. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.

Our Assessment: This Springfield Armory M1A Model MA9106 was manufactured in 2011 and remains true to the classic 7.62 NATO / .308 Winchester configuration with its 22" barrel and traditional flash hider. While it retains its original iron sights, the rifle has been upgraded with a Springfield Armory scope mount, giving it the ability to run optics without sacrificing the M1A’s well-known reliability and balance. These rifles are valued for delivering the iconic M14 shooting experience in a civilian-legal, semi-automatic platform, offering excellent accuracy, durability, and classic service-rifle ergonomics.

The original stock has been replaced with a synthetic M14-pattern stock featuring a proper selector cut and a hinged metal butt plate with an internal storage compartment. This upgrade gives the rifle a practical, military-style profile while providing rugged all-weather durability and improved utility in the field.
