Sights / Optics: The front sight is a serrated blade with red insert, pinned to a solid rib. The rear sight is a white-outlined square notch adjustable for windage and elevation, screwed to the top-strap. Under the rear sight, the topstrap is factory drilled and tapped for mounting an optic.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The grip is a Hogue Monogrip pebble-textured black rubber with finger grooves. The grip has minor handling wear with a few small marks. The grip is slightly shy to the backstrap. There are no rips or tears. Overall, the grip is in Fine-plus condition as not original to the gun.

Bore Condition: The bore is mostly bright with sharp rifling. There is no erosion in the bore, but there is a little stubborn fouling. In this writer’s opinion the bore rates 9+/10.
Overall Condition: This handgun retains about 97% of its finish. The balance is mostly in minor operational wear, including a thin turn-line on the cylinder, mostly not through the finish. There are a few other scattered minor marks. The screw heads range from sharp to tool marked with a strong slot. The markings are clear. Overall, this revolver is in Fine-plus condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this handgun. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.

Our Assessment: The Smith & Wesson Model 29 is one of the most legendary American revolvers ever produced. Its fame was cemented in popular culture through the "Dirty Harry" films, where it was famously described as "the most powerful handgun in the world." The 29-10 engineering revision represents modern production of this classic N-frame platform, blending traditional styling such as the 4-inch barrel and adjustable sights with contemporary manufacturing updates. This recently produced example retains approximately 97% of its original blued finish, the bore and mechanics are strong, and a Hogue Monogrip has been installed to help tame recoil. This 29-10 offers the classic aesthetics and authority of the storied .44 Magnum in a desirable 4-inch configuration, appealing to both shooters and collectors who appreciate the enduring legacy of Smith & Wesson's flagship big-bore revolver.
