Sights / Optics: The front sight is Patridge blade pinned to a raised serrated ramp integral to the barrel rib. The rear sight is a flat top, square notch leaf in a base that is adjustable for windage and elevation.

Stock Configuration & Condition: The grips are two-piece smooth Goncalo Alves Combat stocks with finger grooves and S&W medallions. The grips have a few light marks, most notable at the bottom face. There are no chips or cracks. Overall, the grips are in Fine condition.

Finish Originality: Original

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion in the bore. In this writer's opinion, the bore rates 10/10.

Overall Condition: This handgun retains about 98% of its metal finish. The action shows light operational wear with a thin turn line on the cylinder. Otherwise, there are only light handling marks. The screw heads range from sharp to lightly tool marked with strong slots. The markings are clear. Overall, this handgun rates in Excellent condition.

Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this handgun. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.

Our Assessment: This is a Smith & Wesson Model 16-4. The K-32 Masterpiece was discontinued in 1974, but was reintroduced in 1989, chambered for .32 H&R Magnum with a full under-lug barrel. This example is a 4” barrel in Excellent condition. These revolvers were only offered from 1989-1992 in 4″, 6″ and 8 3/8″ barrels with about 8,800 made in total. This example of the K-32 Masterpiece is in sharp condition with a beautiful blued finish and nice combat stocks. This would make a great addition to any Smith & Wesson or general revolver collection and with with so few made, you won’t see these every day. Please see our photos and good luck!
