Sights/Optics: There are no provisions for iron sights. A Nikon Monarch 3 2.5-10x42mm scope is mounted atop the receiver. The BDC reticle is clear and the scope rates in Very Good condition.

Grip/Stock Configuration & Condition: The furniture is one piece wood with a straight comb, checkered semi-pistol grip, checkered forend, and a textured Ruger synthetic buttpad. The buttpad has minimal handling wear. The furniture has no notable blemishes. The LOP measures 13.5" from the front of the trigger to the back of the buttpad. There are no chips or cracks. The furniture rates in Excellent condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp with light fouling. There is no erosion in the bore. In this writer's opinion, the bore rates 9.5/10.

Overall Condition: The stainless finish rates at about 98%. The finish shows only some light surface scratches on the barrel. The screw heads are unmarred and retain turnable slots. The markings are clear and complete. Overall, this rifle rates in Fine Plus condition.

Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this firearm. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.

Our Assessment: This Ruger 77/17 was manufactured in 2015 and represents one of the few bolt-action rifles chambered for the high-velocity .17 Winchester Super Magnum cartridge. Produced by Sturm, Ruger & Co., the 77/17 combines the proven Ruger Model 77 action with a rotary magazine and controlled-round-feed design. Chambered in .17 WSM, this rifle is optimized for long-range varmint and predator hunting while offering substantially greater velocity than traditional rimfire cartridges.

Chambered in .17 Winchester Super Magnum with a 24 inch barrel, this rifle delivers outstanding flat-shooting performance and minimal recoil.
