Sights/Optics: There are currently no front or rear iron sights. There are two pairs of taps where they would be mounted. A Tasco 4x32mm scope is mounted atop the receiver. The glass is clear and the scope rates in Good condition.

Grip/Stock Configuration & Condition: The furniture is a one piece synthetic Hogue stock with a straight comb, rubberized semi-pistol grip, rubberized forend, and a squishy synthetic recoil pad. The recoil pad has minimal handling wear. The furniture shows light scratches and handling marks. The LOP measures 13.75" from the front of the trigger to the back of the buttplate. There are no chips or cracks. The furniture rates in Very Good Plus condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp with heavy fouling. There is no erosion in the bore. In this writer's opinion, the bore rates 9/10.

Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 98% of its original metal finish. The only notable blemishes are a few oxidation spots on the right side of the barrel. The screw heads show light tooling and retain turnable slots. The markings are clear and complete. Overall, this rifle rates in Very Good Plus condition.

Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this firearm. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.

Our Assessment: This Remington Model 700 was manufactured in 1990 and represents one of the most successful bolt-action hunting rifles ever produced. Manufactured by Remington, the Model 700 earned its reputation through a combination of strength, reliability, and excellent inherent accuracy. By 1990, the platform had already become a standard by which many other sporting rifles were measured.

Chambered in 7mm Remington Magnum with a 24 inch barrel, this rifle offers the flat trajectory and long-range performance that made the cartridge one of the most popular magnum hunting rounds in North America. A Tasco 4x32mm scope is mounted atop the receiver, providing a simple and effective sighting system for field use. In this writer's opinion, the bore rates 9 out of 10, indicating strong internal condition with well-defined rifling. The action functions correctly.

This rifle retains approximately 98% of its original metal finish, presenting a very clean and well-maintained appearance. The furniture rates in Very Good Plus condition with only light handling wear. Overall, this rifle rates in Very Good Plus condition and stands as a strong example of a 1990 Remington Model 700 chambered in the proven 7mm Remington Magnum.
