Markings: The right side of the mag well is marked, "Made In Germany / HK Inc. Arl. Va.22 201". The left side of the receiver is marked with, "HK 91 A 050613 / Cal. .308" and an "IB" date code with an Ulm proof. The trigger housing is marked, "0 1". The forend is marked, "3IC".
Barrel Length: 18", 19.5" to the end of the flash hider.
Sights / Optics: The front sight is a hooded post set into the triple frame. The rear sight is a four-position rotating diopter drum fixed to the receiver. There is a lug and mounting points for an optic/rail built into the receiver.
Stock Configuration & Condition: This rifle has a three piece green polymer furniture set with a slim handguard with a 3-point sling lug, finger groove pistol grip, and 2-position collapsible stock with a knurled hard rubber buttpad. There are faint handling marks throughout. There are no chips or cracks. Overall this furniture set is in about Very Good to Excellent condition. This set is not original to this rifle (original set included).

Bore Condition: The chrome-lined bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion in the bore. In this writer's opinion the bore rates 9.5/10.
Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 95% of its metal finish. There are some scattered light to moderate scratches and wear marks. The action has light wear. The pins are unmarred. The markings are clear. Overall, this rifle rates in Very Good-plus condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this rifle. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements. Headspace is 0.016".

Imported into the United States prior to 1989 restrictions, rifles such as this 1981 example are considered pre-ban and represent a period when original German-made HK rifles were available in factory configuration. Chambered in .308 Winchester or 7.62x51mm NATO, a cartridge introduced in the 1950s and known for its power and versatility, the HK91 delivers performance consistent with its military lineage. This example remains in Very Good-plus overall condition, retaining the great majority of its original metal finish, a strong chrome-lined bore and good mechanics. The rifle is currently fitted with a green polymer furniture set, including a 2-position collapsible stock, the original black three-piece furniture set is included, adding to the completeness of the package. The rifle is equipped with the classic hooded front sight and four-position rotating diopter rear drum, providing a precise and repeatable sight picture.
