Sights/Optics: The front sight is a hooded beaded blade dovetailed into a stippled base fixed to the barrel. The rear sight is a folding adjustable u-notch dovetailed into the barrel. There are two pairs of taps on top of the receiver for mounting a scope and one pair on the left side for mounting an aperture. No optic or aperture is included.
Grip/Stock Configuration & Condition: The furniture is one piece wood with a fluted raised comb, checkered semi-pistol grip, checkered forend, and a checkered metal buttplate. The buttplate shows faint oxidation and light handling wear. The furniture shows infrequent pressure dings, drag lines, and surface scratches. The LOP measures 13.5" from the front of the trigger to the back of the buttplate. There are no chips or cracks. The furniture rates in Very Good Plus condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is mostly bright and the rifling is sharp. There is very faint erosion at the muzzle end of the bore. In this writer's opinion, the bore rates 9/10.
Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 96% of its original metal finish. The finish shows a couple spots of faint freckling, light action wear, some faint scratches, and superficial marks where an optic used to be mounted. The screw heads range from unmarred to lightly tooled and retain turnable slots. The markings are clear and complete. Overall, this rifle rates in Very Good Plus condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this firearm. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.

Our Assessment: This pre-64 Winchester Model 70 Standard Rifle MC No. G7032CN was manufactured in 1955 and qualifies as a Curio and Relic firearm. Introduced in 1936 by Winchester Repeating Arms, the Model 70 quickly earned its reputation as "The Rifleman's Rifle" through its controlled-round-feed Mauser-style action, superb trigger, and exceptional craftsmanship.
