Sights/Optics: The front sight is a metal bead fixed at the muzzle. The receiver is serrated to reduce glare.
Grip/Stock Configuration & Condition: The two piece wood furniture consists of a fluted straight comb, smooth semi pistol grip, 11 rib/groove forend, and a checkered synthetic Winchester buttplate. The buttplate has faint handling wear. An oversized safety has been installed. The wood shows only very minor pressure dings and drag lines. The LOP measures 14" from the face of the trigger to the rear of the butt. There are no chips or cracks. The furniture rates in Fine Plus to Excellent condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright with light streaking. There is no erosion in the bore. In this writer's opinion, the bore rates 9.5/10.
Overall Condition: This firearm retains about 98% of its original finish. The finish shows only a few superficial surface scratches and faint operational wear on the magazine tube. The screw heads are unmarred and retain turnable slots. The markings are clear and complete. Overall, this firearm rates in Fine Plus condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this firearm. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.

Our Assessment: This pre-64 Winchester Model 12 was manufactured in 1957 and qualifies as a Curio and Relic firearm. Introduced in 1912 by Winchester Repeating Arms, the Model 12 became one of the most respected pump-action shotguns ever produced, earning the enduring nickname "The Perfect Repeater." Its forged steel receiver, internal hammer design, and exceptionally smooth action set the standard for American pump shotguns throughout much of the 20th century. Pre-1964 examples are especially prized for their superior machining, fit, and finish, making them highly sought after by collectors and shooters alike.
Chambered for 16 Gauge 2.75 inch shells with a fixed full choke 28 inch barrel, this shotgun offers the excellent balance and handling characteristics for which the 16 Gauge has long been admired. The combination of moderate recoil, effective field performance, and Winchester's legendary action makes this an outstanding choice for upland hunting, waterfowl, and clay target shooting. In this writer's opinion, the bore rates 9.5 out of 10, indicating excellent internal condition. The action functions correctly.
