Sights/Optics: There are no front or rear sights, blanks have been inserted into the dovetail slots. A Revelation 4x32 scope is mounted on a Redfield base to the barrel and receiver. The glass is clear, but has two floaters. The scope rates in Good condition.

Grip/Stock Configuration & Condition: The refinished furniture is two piece wood with a straight comb, semi-pistol grip, smooth forend, and a smooth metal buttplate. The buttplate has light finish wear. The furniture shows scattered pressure dings, scratches, and old blemishes. The LOP measures 13.25" from the front of the trigger to the back of the buttplate. There is a faint crack running from the bottom of the receiver. The furniture rates in Very Good condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is mostly bright and the rifling is sharp. There is faint erosion at the muzzle end of the bore. In this writer's opinion, the bore rates 8/10.

Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 75% of its original metal finish. The finish shows edge wear, scratches, and freckling. The screw heads show little to no tooling and retain turnable slots. The markings are clear and complete. Overall, this rifle rates in Very Good condition.

Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this firearm. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.

Our Assessment: This postwar Winchester Model 63 was manufactured in 1953 and qualifies as a Curio and Relic rifle. Produced by Winchester during the mature postwar sporting rifle era, the Model 63 had firmly established itself as one of the most dependable semi-automatic rimfire rifles of its time. The 23 inch tube-fed configuration remained the standard sporting profile throughout production.

Chambered in .22 Long Rifle with a 23 inch barrel, this rifle is fitted with a Revelation 4x32 scope, adding practical field utility to the classic semi-automatic platform. In this writer’s opinion, the bore rates 8 out of 10, indicating solid internal condition with good rifling. The action functions correctly.

This rifle retains approximately 75% of its original metal finish, showing visible but honest wear consistent with field use. The furniture rates in Very Good condition with light handling marks.
