Original WWII 527th Fighter Squadron A2 Jacket Removed Patch
This an original WWII Painted Leather 527th Fighter Squadron Patch. The 527th Fighter Squadron was assigned to the 86th Fighter Group in the 12th and 9th AAF and operated in both the European and Mediterranean Theaters Theater in WWII from July 1943 to May 1945. The squadron flew A-20's, A-31's, A-36's, P-40's & P-47's. The patch was removed from a flight jacket, with stitch holes present. Color is Fair and there are losses to the border.
