John Ennis engraved Latin phrases on a number of his spurs, so it should come as no surprise that he signed these spurs with his Latin initials. In that language, the letter "J" did not exist, only the letter "I"; remember the spelling of "Jehovah" beginning with an "I" in "Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade"...These spurs are a magnificent work of art, with incredible engraved silver “concho” style outer buttons, understated yet elegant striated and engraved silver inlay designs along the outer bands, figured chap guards, engraved silver inlay shanks, large 10 point spinning rowels with "jingle bobs", heel chains, and beautiful hand tooled floral carved wide brown leather boot straps with engraved sterling silver buckles by Kustom Kraft. The consignor of these spurs had a number of John Ennis made pieces in their collection.
