Very Good Condition. Some scattered scratching and spot patina from actually having been worn. Deeply stamped in relief at each interior band with the initials "IE" and a hallmark type logo. John Ennis engraved Latin phrases on a number of his spurs, so it should come as no surprise that he signed these spurs with his Latin initials. In that language, the letter "J" did not exist, only the letter "I"; remember the spelling of "Jehovah" beginning with an "I" in "Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade"...These spurs are a magnificent work of art, with incredible engraved 4 "spot" silver inlay designs with surrounding studs along the outer bands, figured chap guards, engraved shanks, large 10 point spinning rowels with "jingle bobs", heel chains, and wide black leather boot straps with engraved sterling silver buckles by Kustom Kraft. His works are modern masterpieces, and heavily sought after and highly valued today. He lived and worked out of Simi Valley, CA for decades, before moving to Idaho in ca. 2007. The consignor of these spurs had a number of John Ennis made pieces in their collection.
