Sights / Optics: The front sight is a hooded beaded blade dovetailed to a serrated ramped base, fixed to the barrel. The rear sight is a u-notch elevator sight, dovetailed to the barrel. The left side of the receiver has a pair of drilled, tapped, and filled holes for a receiver sight, none present.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The stocks are two-piece smooth walnut with banded forend, straight grip, straight comb, and press-checkered steel buttplate. The buttplate has a number electro-penciled from top to bottom. There are no chips or cracks. There are scattered light handling marks. The LOP measures 13 1/8" from the front of the trigger to buttplate. Overall the stock rates in Very Good condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion in the bore. In this writer's opinion the bore rates 9/10.
Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 97% of its metal finish. The balance of the finish is strong throughout. The lower tang has turned a plum color. The receiver shows light operational and handling wear. There are a few light scratches. There are minor corrosion spots on the magtube. The screw heads are sharp. The markings are clear. Overall this rifle is in Very Good condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. The rifle has a half-cock safety and a lever safety. We have not fired this rifle. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.

Our Assessment: John M. Browning’s Winchester Model 1894 became one of America’s most enduring sporting rifles, with the .30 W.C.F.—later standardized commercially as the .30-30 Winchester—establishing the model as a benchmark woods and deer rifle. This carbine was manufactured during the final year of traditional pre-64 production, before Winchester substantially revised the Model 94’s materials and manufacturing methods. Winchester Arms Collectors Association research places 1963 production between approximately serial numbers 2,593,000 and 2,600,011, making serial number 2597875 a late-production example from a year in which only about 7,012 Model 94s were completed.
This carbine retains about 97% of its original blue finish, with only light operational wear, a few minor scratches, and small spots of oxidation on the magazine tube. The walnut stocks remain free of chips and cracks and show only scattered light handling marks, while the numbered steel buttplate adds evidence of prior institutional or inventory use. The bright 9/10 bore has sharp rifling and no erosion, and the action, half-cock safety, and lever safety function correctly. Combining strong condition, the classic 20-inch .30-30 configuration, and documented final-year pre-64 manufacture, this is an attractive Winchester Model 94 for both the collector and traditional lever-action enthusiast.
