This is an original Oneida Newhouse No. 15 Bear Trap with offset teeth circa 1895-1905. This trap features heavy offset jaws with exposed teeth, double springs, and a short swivel chain. The pan is marked S. Newhouse No. 15 Oneida Community N.Y. The trap has an overall nice brown patina with very little to no pitting. The pan and dog are free and moveable. All 6 teeth are present with no cracks or chips This item is fully functional and would be an excellent addition to the collection or cabin décor.
