Sights / Optics: The front sight is an undercut blade screw set to the barrel. The rear sight is a fully adjustable square notch dovetailed to the receiver. The top of the receiver is installed with a scope rail.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The grips are two piece checkered walnut panels with smooth grip screw diamonds. The checkering is crisp with light peak wear. There are no chips or cracks.The grips rate in Very Good overall condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is defined. There is no erosion. In this writer's opinion the bore rates 9/10.
Overall Condition: This handgun retains about 95% of its metal finish. The balance of the stainless shows standard operational wear and light handling wear. There are scattered small scratches. There is carbon buildup in the compensator and in the action. The screw heads are sharp and the pins are unmarred. The markings are clear. Overall, this handgun rates in about Excellent condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this handgun. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.

Our Assessment: This rare John Taffin Collection Ruger Mark II Target is a limited Handgun Hunters International pistol, marked #014 of only 100 produced. The right side of the barrel is engraved “Handgun Hunters International,” the top is engraved “#014 of 100,” and the left side is engraved “John Taffin.” This pistol was made specifically for John Taffin, a member of Handgun Hunters International, giving it strong provenance and collector significance beyond a standard Ruger Mark II Target.
Chambered in .22 LR, this stainless Mark II features a 6.5" custom contour barrel, adjustable sights, and an installed scope rail. It remains in Excellent condition with about 95% finish, a bright 9/10 bore and correct mechanics. Included is a John Taffin Collection Certificate of Authenticity, further supporting its appeal as a scarce and well-documented limited-production Ruger.
