This lot features a classic Heiser buscadero style Western gun rig manufactured by H.H. Heiser of Denver, Colorado, one of the most respected makers of Western holsters and cartridge belts during the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Heiser leather goods were widely used by lawmen, ranchers, and outdoorsmen throughout the American West and are known for their durable construction and practical designs. The buscadero style rig, which suspends the holster from a lowered belt cutout, became especially popular during the early 20th century and later in Western films and rodeo culture.

The right handed holster is marked No. C21 and is sized to fit a Colt Single Action Army revolver with a 5 1/2 inch barrel. It is mounted to a matching Heiser No. 8 cartridge belt featuring twenty one adjustable cartridge loops. A distinctive feature of this rig is the adjustable loop design, allowing the loops to accommodate larger or smaller cartridges depending on the firearm carried. The belt is marked size 36–38 and measures approximately 36 inches from the closest hole to the point where the leather meets the buckle and approximately 40 inches to the far hole. Some of the metal hardware shows light verdigris consistent with age and handling.

Heiser rigs such as this remain highly desirable examples of authentic Western gun leather, representing the practical working equipment carried alongside iconic revolvers such as the Colt Single Action Army during the working era of the American frontier and early cowboy culture.
