An exceptionally rare and highly unique piece of authentic Western history, this original artwork was executed by country music icon and 1976 World Champion Bareback Rider Chris LeDoux. Titled Cowboys Night Mare, the raw, surrealist drawing is rendered directly onto a silk western "wild rag" using vivid green, purple, and crimson colored pencils and ink. The fierce, red-eyed imagery captures the untamed spirit of legendary bucking horses—a thematic centerpiece of LeDoux's life as a rodeo champion and singer-songwriter.

Completed in 2002 at his ranch in Kaycee, Wyoming, this piece represents a rare textile medium for the artist, whose primary fine-art portfolio consisted of heavy bronze sculptures. Personally donated by LeDoux to a Medical Foundation Denim & Diamonds benefit gala, this "one-of-one" item carries flawless historical authenticity, blending philanthropic goodwill with premier cowboy craftsmanship.

The piece is in excellent, well-preserved condition. The ink lines remain sharp and crisp with no bleeding or degradation into the silk fabric. The colored pencil pigment is exceptionally bright and vibrant, exhibiting no signs of fading or UV damage.
