Markings: The barrel is marked, “COLT OFFICERS MODEL .22 LONG RIFLE” with the Hartford address and patent dates. The inside of the crane cut and crane arm is marked, “50130” the crane cut also has an “A”. The trigger guard is marked with a “VP” in a triangle and a “F” The left side of the frame has the Rampant Colt.

Sights/Optics: The front sight is a squared blade pinned into a raised base. The rear sight is a driftable dovetailed square notch set into the topstrap.

Stock Configuration and Condition: The grips are two piece stag antler panels. The backstrap is serrated. There are minimal handling marks throughout. Overall, the grips rate in Excellent condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is very bright and the rifling is sharp. There is faint, almost imperceptible erosion in the bore. In this writer’s opinion the bore rates 9.5/10.

Overall Condition: This handgun retains about 94% of its metal finish. There are scratches and nicks throughout the finish with the leading edges having thinned. There is a thin turn line in the cylinder. There are some spots of rust throughout. The screw heads range from sharp to lightly tool marked with strong slots. The markings are clear. Overall, this revolver rates in Very Good condition.

Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this revolver. As with all used firearms, thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards. The action is smooth and the lockup is very tight.

Mechanically, the action is tight and exceptionally smooth, offering crisp lockup and consistent double- and single-action performance. The revolver is fitted with beautifully figured stag grips that are well-fitted and free of damage, lending a classic aesthetic that complements the revolver’s elegant profile.
