Stock Configuration & Condition: The Frontier Scout wears two-piece black checkered plastic grips with rampant Colt medallions. These grips remain well-fit and show only light handling wear. The New Frontier features similar checkered plastic panels with rampant Colt medallions. These grips are free of cracks or chips and show some light marks consistent with age. Both sets of grips rate in about Very Good to Excellent condition.

Overall Condition: The Frontier Scout retains about 99% of its original metal finish. There are only faint operational marks and light evidence of handling. The screw heads are sharp and the markings are clear.The New Frontier retains about 95% of its original metal finish. There is thinning at the muzzle, along the ejector rod housing, and a few small marks around the loading gate and recoil shield. The case coloring remains vibrant. The screw heads are sharp and the markings are legible.Overall, both revolvers rate in about Fine-Plus condition.

Mechanics: The actions are smooth, the timing is correct, and the cylinders lock up with little play. Both revolvers are in full working order. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.
