Sights/Optics: This shotgun is mounted with a brass bead at the muzzle. The top of the rib is milled in a wave-like pattern for glare reduction.

Grip/Stock Configuration & Condition: The stocks are two piece checkered fancy walnut. The splinter forend has case-colored D-grade engraved metal fixtures and wrap-around checkering, to the original Parker specifications. The butt stock has a straight grip, engraved skeleton buttplate, and a metal oval insert on the belly which has not been engraved. The furniture shows light pressure dings and surface scratches scattered infrequently. The checkering is sharp. There are no chips or cracks. The drop at comb is 1.375", drop at heel is 2.125". The LOP measures 14" from the front of the trigger to the back of the butt plate, the plate has Grade D engraving with little to no wear. The back of the stock is finely checkered, showing no notable wear or damage. The furniture rates in about Fine overall condition.

Bore Condition: The bores are bright with no streaking. There is no erosion in the bores. In this writer's opinion, the bores rate 10/10.

Overall Condition: This shotgun retains about 87% of its original metal finish. The receiver toward the bottom-front has either seen polishing or extensive handling, appearing bright. The rest of the remaining finish is strong. The metal shows light handling wear on the barrel from breaking the action and only minor blemishes scattered along the rest of the finish. The screw heads are sharp and retain turnable slots. The markings/engravings are legible and complete. Overall, this shotgun rates in about Fine condition.

Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We have not fired this shotgun. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.

Our Assessment: This Winchester Parker Reproduction DHE, serial number 20-2734, was manufactured between 1984 and 1989 and represents the revival of one of America's most revered double gun names. Produced under the Winchester banner to faithfully recreate the classic Parker Bros. DHE configuration, these reproductions were built with strong attention to traditional dimensions, engraving patterns, and overall finish quality. The DHE grade, historically associated with tasteful embellishment and upgraded wood, was selected for the reproduction line to capture the spirit of the original sporting classic.

Chambered in 20 gauge with 2.75" chambers, this shotgun features fixed chokes of modified in the right barrel and improved cylinder in the left, a versatile pairing for upland hunting and sporting use. The bores rate a perfect 10 out of 10, and the action functions correctly, reflecting excellent internal condition.

Approximately 87% of the original rust blue and case colored finish remains, with matching numbered parts throughout.
