Sights / Optics: The front sight is a blade with a white dot dovetailed to the front of the slide. The rear sight is a Novak square notch with two white dots dovetailed and screw-set to the rear of the slide.

Stock Configuration & Condition: The grip is a one-piece Hogue pebble-textured black rubber wraparound with finger grooves. The grip shows minor handling wear with no notable damage. There are no rips or tears. Overall, the grip is in about Excellent condition.

Finish Originality: Original

Bore Condition: The bore is mostly bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion in the bore, just a little stubborn fouling. In this writer's opinion, the bore rates 9+/10

Overall Condition: This pistol retains about 98% of its metal finish. The action shows very minor operational wear, most notable on the right of the trigger. Otherwise, there are only light handling marks. The screw heads are sharp. The markings are clear. Overall, this pistol is in Excellent condition.

Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this handgun. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.

Box, Paperwork & Accessories: This pistol comes in a blue plastic Colt case with serial-matching label, one 7-round stainless Colt magazine, and factory paperwork including manual and "stop-sign" hang-tag.

Our Assessment: This is a Colt Defender Lightweight, Officer's-model 1911-style pistol chambered for .45 ACP. A lightweight, compact pistol chambered for the .45 cartridge will make for a powerful concealed carry pistol. This example has Colt's Enhanced series features including under-cut trigger guard, extended beavertail grip safety and skeletonized hammer. The pistol appears to have seen little if any actual use with faint operational wear being the only evidence it's been out of its included serial-matching case. It still has a great bore and strong mechanics, so it should be a great little carry piece or recreational shooter. Please see our photos and good luck in your bidding!
