Sights/Optics: The front sight is a post dovetailed into the slide. The rear sight is a square-notch dovetailed into the slide. The sights have vertical recesses for aiming references, but they are not paint-filled.

Grip/Stock Configuration & Condition: The grips are two-piece checkered wood panels with smooth borders and red paint on the interiors. The grips have some scattered light nicks, scuffs and scratches. The checkering is generally well defined. There are no chips or cracks. Overall, the grips rate in Very Good condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is mostly bright and the rifling is sharp with light fouling. There is no erosion in the bore. In this writer's opinion, the bore rates 9.5/10.

Overall Condition: This pistol retains about 90% of its metal finish. The finish shows edge wear along with scattered scratches in the enamel finish. There is moderate handling wear. The screw heads on the grips show light tooling and retain turnable slots. The markings are clear and complete. Overall, this pistol rates in about Very Good condition.

Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this firearm. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.

Our Assessment: This commercial Belgian FN Hi Power was manufactured in 1992 and represents late Belgian production of one of the most influential military and service pistols of the 20th century. Produced by FN Herstal for the commercial market, these later examples retain the classic Hi Power profile and handling characteristics while reflecting the manufacturing standards and finishes typical of the early 1990s. Even at this late stage, the Hi Power remained a globally respected design with deep historical roots and enduring appeal. This example was produced under license for sale outside North America, not having any Browning Arms Co. markings.

Chambered in 9mm Luger with a 4.6" barrel, this pistol follows the traditional configuration that defined the Hi Power's balance and ergonomics. The 9mm Luger cartridge is inseparable from the model's legacy, having been adopted worldwide for military, police, and commercial use due to its efficiency and versatility. The bore rates an excellent 9.5 out of 10, and the action functions correctly, confirming strong mechanical condition.
