Sights/Optics: The front sight is a half moon blade fixed to the slide. The rear sight is a square-notch dovetailed into the slide, there are impact marks on the rear sight.

Grip/Stock Configuration & Condition: The grips are two-piece checkered hard rubber panels with smooth borders. The grips show scattered scuffs and scratches. There are no chips or cracks. Overall, the grips rate in Very Good condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is mostly bright and the rifling is fairly sharp with stubborn fouling. There is no erosion in the bore. In this writer's opinion, the bore rates 9/10.

Overall Condition: This pistol retains about 85% of its metal finish. The finish shows edge wear along with many scuffs in the enamel finish. There is handling wear in the grip areas. There is scuffing on the right of the frame at the trigger pin. The screw heads on the grips show moderate tooling and retain turnable slots. The markings are clear and complete. Overall, this pistol rates in about Very Good condition.

Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this firearm. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.

Our Assessment: This commercial Belgian FN Hi Power was manufactured in 1987 and reflects the mature, late-production era of one of the most influential service pistols of the 20th century. Produced in Belgium by FN Herstal, these commercial pistols retain the classic lines and handling that made the Hi Power a global standard, while benefiting from refined postwar manufacturing practices. By the 1980s, the Hi Power was firmly established as a benchmark single-action service pistol, prized for its ergonomics and proven design lineage. This example was produced under license for sale outside North America, not having any Browning Arms Co. markings.

Chambered in 9mm Luger with a 4.6" barrel, this pistol follows the original configuration that defined the model's balance and shootability.
