Grip/Stock Configuration & Condition: The stocks are two-piece checkered wood with a straight wrist grip, straight comb, unmarked initial plate in the belly, and a bare checkered butt. The furniture is mostly untouched aside from a couple very minor blemishes. There are no chips or cracks. The checkering is well defined. The LOP measures 14.875" and 14" from the fronts of the triggers to the back of the butt. The butt has no handling wear. Drop at comb is approximately 1.5", drop at heel 2.75". Overall, the stocks are in Excellent condition.

Bore Condition: The bores are bright with light streaking. There is no erosion in the bores. In this writer’s opinion, the bores rate 9.5 out of 10.
Overall Condition: This shotgun retains about 98% of its metal finish. The only notable marks are light edge wear on the receiver and very light operational wear. The screw heads are unmarred and retain turnable slots. The markings are clear and complete. Overall, this shotgun is in Fine Plus to Excellent condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. The barrels lock to the receiver with no play. The safety engages automatically when the barrel set is opened. We did not fire this firearm. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.

Our Assessment: This AYA No. 4 Hammerless Boxlock was manufactured in 2009 and is a finely crafted Spanish side-by-side shotgun chambered in 16 Gauge. Produced by Aguirre y Aranzabal, better known as AYA, this shotgun reflects more than a century of Basque gunmaking tradition.
